Artist Hussein Fahmy, President of the Cairo International Film Festival, held a meeting with Mr. Cui Yan, Executive Director of the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival and General Manager of the festival company, to discuss mechanisms for developing bilateral relations and cultural exchange. @The meeting focused on establishing practical steps to revitalize the existing cooperation agreement between the two festivals, ensuring new opportunities for filmmakers in both countries. Discussions touched upon the details of Chinese participation in the upcoming Cairo Film Festival, including proposals to host prominent Chinese filmmakers on the judging panels. @The talks also extended to coordinating the screening of a selection of Chinese films within the festival's diverse programs, giving Egyptian audiences the opportunity to experience Asian cinema. @At the end of the meeting, Mr. Fahmy extended a formal invitation to Mr. Cui Yan to attend the next edition of the Cairo International Film Festival, which will be held from November 11 to 20, 2026, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
